CONGRATULATIONS 7th & 8th GRADE THUNDERBIRD TEAMS! 7th graders won the WYBL End-of-Season Championship and 8th graders finished 3rd.

TBIrds went a combined 4-3 this Saturday at home against Meadowdale and Everett. The fifth graders had their full squad this Saturday for the first time. They worked hard and played better offensively against a very strong Meadowdale team, scoring 24 points this week in the loss. Everett did not field a 5th grade team so they only played one game. The 6th graders split, losing to a tough Meadowdale team but beating Everett handily. The 7th graders continue to roll at 3-0, beating both Meadowdale and Everett easily. The 8th graders lost an intense game to Meadowdale but bounced back to beat Everett by 21.

Teams opened play in the WYBL, with two wins and two losses at Monroe. The games at Snohomish were postponed to a later date.

Teams have been chosen for the 2010-11 Thunderbird season. Practices start Oct. 18 for 7th & 8th graders, Oct. 25 for 5th & 6th graders.

2010-11 team tryouts for the 5th-8th grade teams are the week of Oct. 4-10. All 5th-8th graders living within the Shorewood HS boundaries or attending an elementary school or middle school that feeds to Shorewood HS are welcome. Tryouts are free of charge. Download Flyer for more information.
